One of the primary investment focuses of our
company is on timberland. Whether the client’s
needs include income from the harvest of managed
timber, asset growth from the appreciation of
Higher-and-Better Use (HBU) timberland, or
investment in recreational forestlands, we
deliver an uncompromised level of service. We
have developed strong relationships with the
best forestry consulting groups in the southeast
and our extensive relationships with
institutional owners, wood products companies,
TIMO’s, and private landowners provide an
invaluable resource when it comes time for
acquisition, management, and divestiture of
these investments.
At
Springwood, we work closely with our consulting
foresters to develop a timber management plan
that dovetails the needs of the client. Once the
plan is in place we oversee the forester in all
areas of operation including timber management,
timber sales, harvest, silviculture, site prep
and reforestation. In addition we oversee all
other aspects of timberland ownership including
hunt lease solicitation and negotiation,
insurance maintenance, property tax payment and
appeals, capital improvement work, conservation
use covenants, conservation easements, eminent
domain resolution, and environmental issues.
Springwood currently manages over $30 Million in
timberland holdings for its clients. |
